City lawyer Steve Ogolla reportedly sent a team to his ex-wife’s Elseba K’Okeyo alias Cebbie Koks home in Migori on Monday to retrieve all the cattle he had offered as dowry during their wedding.
“If it was about dowry recovery according to Luo tradition, it could have been done with decorum and respect according to Luo tradition,” said Cebbie’s brother, Foky Mopao.
“He could have sent his kinsmen to come with respect without drama, but him sending bloggers armed with cameras to subject our family to public humiliation cannot be accepted. We shall respond with the same force,” he added.
Foky further alleged that the white Prado Ogolla gifted Cebbie as a wedding gift in December 2022 was a hired vehicle.
“Thank you papi Steve Ogolla. The gift came like this ❤️❤️ Pearl white KDJ!” Cebbie wrote on her social media then while announcing the wedding gift.
According to Foky, the vehicle was repossessed a month later, accusing Ogolla of leading a fake lifestyle for media glory.
“From the first day, I knew this guy thrives in drama when he decided to hire a vehicle and gift it to my sister as a wedding gift. After one month, the vehicle was repossessed and returned to the showroom,” he said.
