Suspected drug trafficker busted with 13 bags of bhang valued at KSh6.7M in Kandara

Police officers on Friday, July 18 arrested a suspected drug trafficker in Kandara, Murang’a County, in possession of drugs.

The officers, drawn from the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU), acted on intelligence from members of the public to arrest Eunice Wangui Kimani at her residence in Kandara.

Upon searching Eunice Wanjiku’s residence in Kandara, Murang’a County, the detectives discovered 13 gunny bags of bhang.

Upon searching her residence, the officers recovered 13 gunny bags filled with bhang weighing 225kgs, with an estimated street value of KSh6.7 million.

The detectives also recovered packaging materials believed to be used in the distribution of the illicit cargo, pointing to a well-oiled trafficking network.

Kimani is currently in custody awaiting approval preparation for her court appearance.

Meanwhile, the seized narcotics have been securely detained as exhibits.
