The Boys season 2 is one of the best seasons of the series. Season 1 was amazing and from the first episode it hooked us. This show isn’t one of those slow-burn series. It’s hard-hitting from the start, and that’s what makes it stand out.
Season 1 was cleverly written and left us on a cliff-hanger when Billy Butcher discovers that his wife, Becca, whom he thought was dead, had a son with Homelander. Homelander uses this as leverage to convince Becca that she should let him see his son so that he could let Billy Butcher live. Butcher is then sent far away.
Vought finally acknowledges that Translucent is dead and introduces another new member to the Seven, Stormfront. She’s edgy, manipulative, and knows how to weaponize social media. Vought uses her to boost PR by creating a trio of Starlight, Stormfront and Queen Maeve.
A new supe is established as people’s heads just explode. There’s a congressional hearing about Vought and compound v. During the hearing just as witnesses were about to testify and tell the truth, heads started exploding everywhere; the judges, the witnesses and even random people who came to listen to the hearing. This is broadcast live, so the whole country watches in shock.
