The Singleton unveils the rare 17-year-old Glen Ord ‘Into the Blue’ in Kenya

Nairobi 1st December 2025 – East African Breweries Plc (EABL) announces the arrival of The Singleton of Glen Ord 17-Year-Old ‘Into the Blue’, a single malt selected to be part of the Diageo Special Releases for 2025. This exceptionally limited expression introduces the ‘Horizons Unbound’ collection, which is a whisky series that celebrates the relentless pursuit of innovation and masterful craftsmanship in single malt whisky.

“We are proud to bring this unique expression to Kenya,” said Simon Lapyem, Brand Manager for The Singleton East Africa (EABL). “This unique release allows collectors to experience a rare highlight from The Singleton, curated by Master Blender Dr. Suart Morrison. ‘Into the Blue’ is a testament to his creative mastery, blending innovation with tradition for a truly exceptional whisky.”

Matured for 17 years, ‘Into the Blue’ undergoes a distinct finishing process in a unique combination of ex-mezcal casks and second fill Spanish sherry cask. This approach yields a complex and layered spirit with a rich fruit aroma. The drink opens with a velvety palate of sweet fruit and closes with a mineral finish which is an evolution from The Singleton’s signature house style.

This release is designed for the discerning drinker, serious collectors and flavour adventurers who value masterful artistry and exceptional gifting. As part of the global rollout, the  special release will be available in the Kenyan market from 5th December 2025.

To make its Kenyan debut, The Singleton will host a series of exclusive, curated tastings in Nairobi.
