American YouTube sensation and live-streamer IShowSpeed has announced completion of his 28-day ‘Speed Does Africa’ tour that ended on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in Namibia.

He visited 20 African countries and has gained an average of over 140,000 viewers and gained 4.4 million followers and subscribers across Twitch and YouTube, while challenging entrenched global stereotypes and reshaping perceptions of the continent’s culture, history and life beyond prevailing narratives.

IShowSpeed’s African tour commenced in Angola on December 29th, 2025 and conclude in Namibia on Tuesday, 27th January, 2026.

He attended the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final in Morocco on January 18 which happened to be his best live stream, garnering 16 million views, followed closely by Ethiopia with 11 million views while Kenya and Algeria at 10 million views.

IShowSpeed made a notable stop in Nigeria, where he celebrated his 21st birthday and surpassed 50 million subscribers on YouTube.

The popular content creator, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., celebrated the achievement in real time with fans across the world, marking a moment that quickly trended online.

IShowSpeed showered Kenya with praise after visiting on January 11, 2026, emerging as one of the tour’s standout destinations.

“Y’all asking how was Kenya, bro, Kenya was actually amazing. Kenya was one of my best streams, Kenya was amazing,” IShowSpeed revealed.

Even after moving on to different countries, viewers have noticed that he continues to use the Swahili greeting “habari yako” on his livestreams, a phrase he picked up during his visit to Kenya.

As he concluded his tour in Namibia yesterday, IShowSpeed thanked Africa for the love and experience saying that the tour has changed his life.

“Thank you Africa. This tour has changed my life,” he concluded.
