In a significant stride toward inclusive healthcare, THX22 Foundation has donated KES 1.5 million to the Needy Cancer Health Initiative (NCHI), a grassroots organization championing support for vulnerable cancer patients nationwide. This contribution will directly benefit 2,000 patients through access to medication, nutritional support, housing, and financial aid.
With cancer cases rising across Kenya—over 42,000 new diagnoses and 27,000 deaths annually, according to the Ministry of Health’s National Cancer Control Strategy (2023-2027)—the need for community-driven solutions has never been more urgent.
Speaking during the announcement, Paolo Abenavoli, Head of Projects at THX22 Foundation, emphasized the importance of targeting underserved communities:
“This donation reflects our mandate to uplift underserved communities by closing critical gaps in healthcare and social protection.”
The foundation’s approach goes beyond emergency aid—it’s about sustained empowerment through health access, social protection, and dignity.
Led by Founder Nana Kilemi, NCHI has already transformed lives, helping hundreds access life-saving care with as little as Kshs 1,000 a month:
“We’re building a future where no patient is left behind, especially in their most vulnerable moments.”
NCHI’s multifaceted support spans housing, nutrition, emotional care, and advocacy—especially for rural patients battling stigma, displacement, and financial barriers. Its latest initiative, the NCHI Charity Marathon, aims to raise funds for a palliative care center offering dignified, free end-of-life care.
As the philanthropic arm of 22BET Kenya, THX22 Foundation supports community-led initiatives in health, education, culture, and sports. From mobile clinics to nutritional support, it focuses on sustainable healthcare impact.
This collaboration between THX22 and NCHI not only fills gaps in cancer care—it symbolizes the power of local partnerships to transform the health narrative in Kenya. By bridging grassroots efforts with strategic funding, hope becomes tangible for thousands.
