Kenyan dancer and content creator Tileh Pacbro has shut down swirling breakup rumours involving his Colombian partner, Jessica Zapata, after sharing a series of affectionate photos on his Instagram page.
The couple, who have long been admired for their chemistry and creative collaborations, appeared radiant and close, signaling that all is well between them.
Speculation about a possible breakup began last month after fans noticed Tileh had significantly reduced posts featuring Jessica.
For public figures like him, even subtle changes in posting habits tend to fuel online gossip. Fans began questioning whether the couple had quietly split, with many referencing their once-frequent public displays of affection.
During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, one fan directly addressed the rumours, writing:
“Naona umefanya introduction ya msupa kwa hiyo September dump.”
The comment implied that Tileh had introduced Jessica only to part ways shortly after, echoing growing fan chatter.
Rather than offer a direct explanation, Tileh took a lighter approach. He posted a witty video clip of actor and filmmaker Abel Mutua, in which Mutua humorously says:
“Mkiwai nikuta na mambo ya wasichana tena, mimi walai nitandikeni viboko.”
The post, interpreted by many as a playful deflection, suggested that Tileh preferred to address the rumours with humour rather than confrontation. Fans praised his composure, noting that he has always handled speculation about his private life with charm and maturity.
Before dating Jessica, Tileh was married to Martina, his former dance partner and co-founder of the popular duo Tileh x Martina. Together, they became one of East Africa’s most recognisable dance brands, blending romance and choreography to massive online success.
However, in May 2024, Tileh announced that the couple had decided to separate and pursue a divorce due to irreconcilable differences. In an emotional Instagram statement, he wrote:
“I will never have the right words to type this, I have looked at my phone for hours trying to find the right words but nothing is forthcoming.”
He went on to express gratitude for their time together:
“The years we’ve spent together have been the best of my life. I have witnessed happiness and growth that I can never be able to quantify.”
Despite their separation, Tileh clarified that they remain family:
“Our journey hasn’t come to an end and it never will, as we will always remain to be a family. We are not only parents but also business partners.”
Addressing circulating rumours, Tileh admitted the separation had been ongoing but handled privately:
“Whispers and rumors have of course been moving around due to our silence, and for that I would like to make it clear that whatever some of the blogs insinuated can never be further from the truth. Everyone who knows me personally, including Martina, knows how much I value loyalty.”
