US President Donald Trump praised Nicki Minaj during the White House Black History Month reception on Wednesday, reflecting on their recent meeting at the Trump Accounts Summit and expressing his admiration for the rapper.
“I love Nicki Minaj. She was here a couple of weeks ago. So beautiful, her skin so beautiful,” Trump said at the event.
The US president, who has previously commented on Minaj’s distinctive style, added, “Her nails, her nails, they’re like that long. I said, ‘Nicki, are they real?’ She said she didn’t want to get into that, but she was so beautiful and so great.”
Earlier this year, Trump was seen holding hands with Minaj at the Trump Accounts Summit.
At the event, he praised her nails saying, “I am going to let my nails grow because I love those nails,” and described her as “the greatest and most successful female rapper in history.”
Minaj celebrated President’s Day by posting AI-generated images of herself and Trump dressed in matching pink outfits. “Happy Presidents Day,” she captioned the post, which quickly went viral on social media.
Speculation around Minaj’s political stance has intensified in recent months as her ties to the Trump administration have grown.
In November 2025, she addressed a United Nations conference, speaking about what she characterised as the persecution of Christians in Nigeria and thanking Trump for “his leadership on the global stage.”
In December, Nicki Minaj appeared at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, where she spoke with Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, expressing her “utmost respect” for the president.
“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president. I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope,” Nicki Minaj stated.
In late January, Nicki Minaj attended the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, DC, declaring she is “the president’s No. 1 fan” and that it is “not going to change.”
“I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan and that’s not going to change. He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen,” she declared.
She was also seen holding hands with the president in photos from the event.
