The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has declared 2,014 vacancies to replace teachers who exited service through natural attrition.
The Service aims to fill 1,309 positions for primary schools, 32 posts for junior schools, and 673 posts for secondary schools.
“The teachers recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service,” the TSC notice reads in part.
For successful application, a candidate must be a Kenyan citizen, hold a P1 certificate in the case of primary schools, or at least a diploma in education in the case of junior and secondary schools. The candidate must also be a registered teacher with Teachers Service Commission.
How to apply
Interested applicants are advised to submit their applications online through the Teachers Service Commission’s website, http://tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’ or http://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke latest by Monday May 19, 2025 midnight.
Details on available vacancies per county/or schools are also available on the website.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates, while successful candidates must not fill more than one Application for Employment Form.
“Filling of two or more Application for Employment Forms will lead to disqualification,” TSC warns.
The Service also says that manual applications will not be considered, and that applicants who have not previously been employed by the TSC will be given preference.
“The recruitment exercise is free of charge. The Teachers Service Commission forewarns applicants against fraudsters who might extort money from unsuspecting persons purporting to assist in recruitment. Any fraudulent activity should be reported to the nearest TSC office or Teachers Service Commission headquarters through the following telephone lines: Director Staffing (0202892193) and Deputy Director- Staffing (0202892131) or write to the Commission through the email address [email protected].”
