Police in Mtwapa, Kilifi County, have arrested two notorious suspects linked to a spate of robberies in the area.
28-year-old Tony Nyamwanga alias Mkadinali and 26-year-old Kelvin Basasi Rwanda were arrested on Tuesday, April 7 afternoon by officers from Mtwapa Police Station.
According to a report, the police officers were conducting their investigations into two robbery incidents that occurred on March 4 and reported to the station.

The officers waylaid the suspects at Posta Area of Mtwapa Township managing to intercept them at arounf 1:40 pm.
Officers managed to intercept and arrest two suspects… who are believed to have been involved in series of robberies within Kilifi South,” the police report reads in part.
At the scene, police officers recovered a black Boxer motorcycle, two pangas and a knife, items believed to be used in committing the crimes.
“All the exhibits secured as exhibits and the two suspects escorted to Mtwapa Police Station and placed in custody,” the report adds.
