The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party on Wednesday December 4, 2025 announced the date for conducting party elections in 20 counties across the country.
In a press statement, the ruling party noted that the party elections will be held on January 10, 2026.
The elections will be held in Baringo, Bomet, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kericho, Nakuru, Nandi, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, and Samburu.
Other counties where UDA elections will be held include Embu, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Laikipia, Meru, Murang’a, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi, Kakamega and Vihiga.
“Following the joint meeting between the UDA Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and the National Elections Board (NEB) chaired by Deputy Party Leader Kithure Kindiki, it was resolved that the party conducts Grassroots Elections in the remaining twenty (20) counties where the polls have not been held,” read part of the UDA statement.
In addition, the joint committee indicated that registration for aspirants wishing to take part in the election will start on December 4, 2025 at 12:00 noon when the portals will be opened.
The deadline for registration of aspirants is December 23, 2025 at 5:00PM.
“The official notice for purposes of the Grassroots Elections will be issued by the National Elections Board (NEB) on December 4, 2025,” the party stated.
After the registration of the candidates, aspirants will have a campaigning period that will run up to January 10, 2026 when elections will be conducted.
