A viral couple, VJ Patelo and Diana, have been trending on social media because of their ghetto themed-wedding which has amazed a lot of Kenyans because of their uniqueness.

The couple, was recently hosted on the Obinna Show. They opened up about their journey from humble beginnings to building a life of luxury and love.

They both stated that they were raised in the heart of Nairobi’s ghettos. Patelo grew up in neighborhoods of Huruma, Kariobangi South, Dandora, and Buruburu, while Diana was brought up in Fedha Estate. Today, the two lovebirds reside in Utawala, but Diana also owns a home in Lavington Nairobi.

Professionally, Diana is into real estate while Patelo does multiple roles. He’s a musician, youth leader, and mentor. ” I am a musician but I handle a lot of things,” he stated.

During their free time, Diana enjoys playing golf while Patelo likes to play football and spend time with his friends, which he refers to them as “Mamorio”.

What really captured people’s attention was their wedding. The couple got engaged last year at Safari Park Hotel and went on to tie the knot at Naiposha Gardens, hosting 3,500 guests.

On the interview , Patelo stated that the wedding costed approximately Ksh 500 million which was covering everything from the cars, catering , decor and to guest transportation.

The bride’s gown, was imported from Dubai, at a cost of Ksh1.6 million, while Patelo’s suit came in at Ksh 1.7 million.

Even their wedding cake was flown in from Dubai while their rings cost Ksh1.5 million, Patelo’s four gold chains are worth Ksh 4.2 million, and the rings on his fingers are estimated at Ksh5 million.

Moreover, Patelo’s signature gold and silver teeth grills cost Ksh 30,000. When Obinna asked what his secret to success was, Patelo went on and stated, “pray to God first, piga bidii, piga tizi alafu focus… utaomoka.”
