White Cap Draught Beer hosted a premium Formula One viewing experience at Kengeles Lavington Green in Nairobi, where racing enthusiasts gathered to watch the Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday.
The event brought together motorsport fans who wanted to experience the high-speed action in a social setting while enjoying perfectly poured beer and gourmet food.
The watch party was organized to create a sophisticated atmosphere that mirrored the precision and excellence of Formula One racing itself, offering guests interactive self-pour stations and curated culinary selections as Max Verstappen battled his way to victory on the track.
Wanjiru Murage, Marketing Manager for Beer Expansions and Projects at East African Breweries Limited (EABL), explained the connection between the sport and the brand’s approach.
“Formula One represents engineering excellence and premium performance. We mirrored that with the perfect pour of our White Cap Draught, allowing fans to experience the beer in its perfect state. The intensity on the screen was matched by the experience in the glass and the taps,” Wanjiru stated.
The interactive self-pour beer stations proved to be one of the event’s standout features. Attendees embraced the hands-on approach, pouring their own perfectly chilled White Cap Draught while staying focused on the unfolding track drama.
Complementing the beverage offerings, organizers curated a thoughtful food menu featuring beef and vegetable mishikaki skewers.
These grilled delicacies provided sophisticated pairings that matched the premium nature of the event, ensuring guests could enjoy both exceptional food and drink while absorbed in the racing action.
On the Qatar circuit, Max Verstappen delivered a masterclass in racing excellence, dominating proceedings across 57 intense laps to claim victory.
Oscar Piastri secured second position with a strong performance, while Carlos Sainz Junior fought his way to third place on the podium.
The race delivered strategic battles, daring overtakes, and close wheel-to-wheel combat that kept the Nairobi audience captivated from lights out to the checkered flag.
