Woman claims to be Bahati’s biological mother, seeks forgiveness and reunion

A woman has publicly claimed to be the biological mother of musician and reality TV star Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati, releasing an emotional plea in a video that has spread across social media.

She says poverty forced her to abandon him as an infant and is now seeking forgiveness, recognition, and a meeting with the artist.

In the recording, the woman whose identity has not yet been verified says she has been wrestling with the belief that Bahati is her son, describing it as a conviction she attributes to spiritual revelation.

“My spirit tells me, ‘This is my son,’ and it troubles me every day,” she said.

According to her account, the feeling did not come suddenly. She claims that after years of internal struggle, she became convinced through what she describes as guidance from the Holy Spirit that the popular musician is the child she left at a children’s home many years ago.

She says financial hardship was at the centre of the decision.

“I took you to a children’s home because I had no means,” she said, adding that she feared raising him in her situation would jeopardise the future she believed God intended for him. “God’s plan… maybe He wanted you to have a better life.”

The woman says she is now ready to meet Bahati, explain her decision, and clear the air about his early years. Her message to him is a direct appeal for forgiveness and acceptance.

“Bahati, I have come before you to ask for forgiveness. Forgive me. Come look for me—I am ready to explain everything,” she said.

She also addressed Bahati’s long-held public statement that his mother died when he was young. She said she does not hold this against him, insisting he must have been told so by those who raised him.

The woman claims she has struggled silently for years, lacking the resources or connections to reach Bahati.

She says she only managed to speak out after seeking help from a street preacher identified as Pastor Yohana, who offered to help her share her story.

“I have no means to look for you,” she said. “I was lucky to find this pastor preaching, and when I told him my story, he agreed to help.”

Her claims have sparked widespread discussion online, with many calling for Bahati to issue a statement. The musician has not yet responded, and verification of the woman’s story remains pending.
