“Great news!!! The long awaited time is here. Oga Obinna I am your biological son”— reads a placard hoisted by a young man in an unknown location within Nairobi.
The un-named young man, putting all his hope to attract attention on the hand-written placard, claims to be popular media personality Steve Thompson Maghana, popularly known as Oga Obinna, biological son.

The photo quickly went viral on social media platforms on Tuesday, February 17, sparking reactions ranging from amusement and curiosity to skepticism.
At the time of going to press, the man’s identity has not been revealed, and there is no independent verification that he is actually related to Oga Obinna.
Adding to the viral nature of the post, Oga Obinna himself reacted to the photo on social media. In his comment, he joked, “Long awaited by who?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that’s okay, you are grown now son, go hassle!! [sic]” His playful response has further fueled online discussions and amusement among his followers, while not confirming any familial connection.
Oga Obinna has previously been open about his family life. In 2025, he revealed that he had discovered he had a fifth child after the mother had not informed him of her pregnancy. In past interviews, he has also expressed his desire to have more sons, emphasizing that fatherhood is a serious responsibility.
