“You’re OBSESSED with me!”- Fantana explodes after Diamond Platnumz name-drops her at Lagos concert

Ghanaian singer and reality TV star Fantana has gone ballistic after Diamond Platnumz mentioned her name on stage during his Lagos concert, accusing the Tanzanian hitmaker of being fixated on her.

Taking to Instagram Stories, a visibly furious Fantana real name Francine Nyanko Koffi questioned why Diamond keeps dragging her name into his shows if he’s truly happy in his marriage.

“If you’re so happy in your fake marriage, why is my name always in your mouth?” she ranted.
“Imagine having a whole concert in Lagos and still getting on stage to mention MY NAME.”

Fantana didn’t hold back, branding Diamond’s behaviour obsessive and telling him to leave her alone and focus on his “picture-perfect” personal life.

“Don’t irritate me this evening! You are so OBSESSED with me! Make my name rest! Face that fake marriage you use for social media — with that fake, small, invisible ring!” she fired.
“Keep playing and you’ll know more of me.”

The outburst was triggered when Diamond, mid-performance, asked the crowd if he was a “playboy.” After a loud “yes,” he followed up with: “Who said Fantana?”– a comment that clearly struck a nerve.

The drama reignites an already messy history. Months ago, Diamond publicly admitted he cheated on Zuchu with Fantana while filming Netflix’s Young, Famous & African, revealing he lied about being single to pursue Fantana on the show.

Fantana later said she had no idea Zuchu was in the picture, as Diamond repeatedly insisted she was “just his artiste.”

Despite Diamond later claiming his playboy image was scripted for TV, Fantana’s latest reaction makes one thing clear: the past is far from buried — and the name-dropping has lit the fuse all over again.

When Did The Relationship Between Fantana and Diamond Platnumz Start?

Fantana and Diamond Platnumz’s romance was born under the bright lights of Netflix’s Young, Famous & African Season 2, filmed in South Africa in early–mid 2023.

What started as flirtation quickly turned explosive, climaxing in a steamy on-screen kiss that sent shockwaves across the internet and ignited nonstop chatter.

Behind the scenes, however, the moment carried a heavier cost — Diamond was already involved with Zuchu.

When Zuchu saw the kiss, the betrayal hit hard. She reacted with raw anger and heartbreak, calling the moment disrespectful and unacceptable for television.

Overwhelmed by emotion, she later admitted she lashed out in fury, even destroying items in Diamond’s home after watching the scene online.

Her pain spilled into sharp words and visible frustration, laying bare just how deeply the moment cut.

Though she eventually forgave Diamond after explanations, Zuchu made one thing clear: forgiveness did not erase the hurt — and disrespect would never be justified.
