Reigning Zambia Super League champions Power Dynamos have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season by signing promising Kenyan striker Emmanuel Osoro on a two-year permanent deal from FC Talanta.
Osoro, 19, arrives at Dynamos after a breakthrough 2024/25 season in the FKF Premier League where he scored 16 goals and provided seven assists.
His performances saw him finish second in the Golden Boot race, just one goal behind compatriot Moses Shumah, who had earlier joined Power Dynamos from Kakamega Homeboyz FC.
“Power Dynamos Football Club (PDFC) have strengthened their attack by signing 19-year-old Kenyan star Emmanuel Osoro. The prolific goal-scorer, who netted 16 goals and provided seven assists in the 2024/25 Kenyan Super League season, joins us from Talanta FC on a two-year permanent deal,” the club announced.
“This follows the recent acquisition of Kenya’s top scorer, Moses Shumah, who netted 17 goals last season. With these two talents, Power Dynamos is set for an impressive season ahead,” added the statement.
Osoro’s strong domestic form also earned him a first-ever call-up to the Harambee Stars in May, where he featured in two friendly matches against Chad in Morocco.
After coming off the bench in the first game, Osoro made a memorable full debut in the second, scoring once and providing an assist in Kenya’s 2-1 victory.
While both Osoro and Shumah had been included in Kenya’s preliminary squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), their transfers to Zambia now make them ineligible for the tournament, which is reserved for players competing in domestic leagues.
