Zuchu calls out agency over unpaid dues after electrifying CHAN finale performance in Nairobi

Tanzanian singer Zuhura Othman Soud, popularly known Zuchu, has sparked an online storm after accusing Leap Creative Studio of failing to pay her balance following her show-stopping performance at the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025 closing ceremony.

The event, held on August 30, 2025, at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, saw Zuchu share the stage with Delvin Mudigi, commonly known as Savara, and Ugandan star Eddy Kenzo.

The trio lit up the stadium with powerful performances before the final match between Morocco and Madagascar, which the North Africans went on to win.

But behind the glitz and glamour, Zuchu revealed there was a darker side. Taking to her Instagram stories, she blasted Leap Creative Studio for allegedly withholding payments.

“I work tirelessly and hard, kindly respect my hard work. Pay the balance @leapcreativestudio,” she wrote.

The singer also alleged that Savara had not been paid either, stating that his management had already contacted her about the same issue.

“You haven’t even paid @savarafrica, his manager just contacted me right now,” Zuchu added.

In her call to action, she urged fans to pressure CAF into cutting ties with the agency, claiming Leap Creative was limiting comments on social media.

“Go at CAF’s page, tell them #LeapCreativeAgency are scammers. Please drop them as your agency. The last post at CAF’s page and we comment as many times as possible,” she said.

Neither CAF nor Leap Creative Studio has issued an official response to the allegations.

For many fans, the incident raises wider concerns about how African artists are treated at major continental events, with Zuchu’s bold stand opening up fresh debate on fair pay and accountability in the entertainment industry.
