A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Mumias West Sub-County, Kakamega County, for trafficking narcotic drugs.
The suspect was arrested on Friday, September 19 along the Bungoma-Mumias Road. Officers, acting on intelligence, intercepted the suspect in Lukoye village.
He was found in possession of 40 brooms of cannabis sativa (bhang) with an estimated street value of KSh300,000.
The suspect is currently in custody awaiting arraignment in court.
The National Police Service has commended the officers for their vigilance, reiterating its commitment to cracking down on drug trafficking and related crimes.
