A suspicious hooded man at Gatina Primary School gate, carrying two bags: Police swing into action

Police in Dagoretti, Nairobi County, have arrested a suspected drug peddler in possession of 8 kilograms of canabis sativa.

The officers from Muthangari Police Station were on patrol within the Kawangware 56 area on Thursday, August 21 evening, when they received intelligence from a member of the public.

The concerned citizen informed them that he had spotted a suspicious individual at Gatina Primary School main gate, carrying two pieces of luggae containing narcotic drugs.

“The officers swiftly proceeded to the scene and, upon arrival, found the suspect,” says a police report seen by TV47 Digital.

He was stopped and, upon conducting a quick search of the two bags, found them to contain 8kg of what is suspected to be cannabis sativa.

He was arrested and escorted to the station, where he was placed in custody to await arraignment in court.

The exhibits were processed and sent to the government chemist for forensic analysis.

“The National Police Service remains steadfast in the fight against narcotics and appreciates the cooperation from the public.”
