Actress Marya Okoth weds Jack Okula in a glamorous white ceremony

Kenyan actress Marya Okoth, known to many as the ex-lover of comedian YY, has officially tied the knot with Jack Okula, a senior government official, in a lavish white wedding that radiated elegance and class.

The ceremony, held months after their traditional wedding in Gem, brought together family, close friends, and dignitaries who gathered to celebrate the couple’s love story.

Among the distinguished guests in attendance was PS Raymond Omollo, who took to Facebook to extend his congratulations to the newlyweds.

“Joined family and friends to celebrate my friend, Wakili Jack Okula and his bride, Marya, on their beautiful wedding day. Wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of love, peace and shared purpose,” he wrote.

The couple’s journey to the altar has been one of quiet grace. In August, their traditional wedding in Ugenya, Siaya County, went viral after photos and videos surfaced online, surprising many fans who hadn’t known about their union.

Marya, who has been private about her personal life, earned admiration from Kenyans for keeping her relationship off social media and focusing on her happiness.

Their union comes a year after Marya’s separation from YY Comedian in September 2024, marking a fresh start for the actress.

Her transformation has inspired many, with fans flooding social media with congratulatory messages celebrating her new chapter of love and fulfillment.

“Aaaaw. The most beautiful bride with a beautiful bouquet. Congratulations chunya, you deserve happiness.” One fan commented.

“Marya deserves the best,,,Mr PS don’t forget to tell them in marriage there are three stages,,honeymoon,,Redhot and Growth stage,,the second one is the worst and is where characters begin to show,,this is a stage where if not handled well,,mostly leads to divorce. It lasts from the 4th year to 10 years. I wish them well.” Another one said.

“Congratulations Wakili and Marya.” A fan commented.
