Aisha Jumwa praises Raila for agreeing to form broad-based Government with Ruto

Former Ministry of Gender Cabinet Secretary and Kenya Roads Board Chairperson Aisha Jumwa has hailed ODM party leader Raila Odinga for agreeing to form a broad-based government with president William Ruto.

Jumwa has dismissed those criticising Raila’s move, saying the ODM leader chose peace and that’s why he agreed to work with the president to unite the country.

Speaking at Mikinduni primary school in Hola town during the thanksgiving ceremony for Kengen Director Rehema Hassan, Jumwa said currently the country was peaceful due to the unity forged by the two principals.

At the same time, she called on those still not embracing the broad-based government to do so, for the country to move forward.

The Roads Board chairperson said her prayer is to see the union intact, so that the president can implement his manifesto to transform the country in terms of development.

On her part the Kengen Director who is the immediate former Women Representative for Tana River County also thanked Raila for agreeing to work with President William Ruto.

Rehema called on residents of Tana River to support president William Ruto’s administration since he cares for minority communities.

She said with the broad-based Government, President Ruto currently had no competitor and would be re-elected in 2027 to complete his 10-year tenure.

In addition, she noted that Tana River residents should not accept to be in the opposition again and asked them to support the Government.

Galole MP Said Hiribai  who was present during the ceremony said they were fully supporting the president because he was keen in implementing development projects in the country.
