Best performing Woman Reps in Kenya – Kenyatrack survey

In Kenya’s shifting political and development terrain, Women Representatives are emerging not only as voices of representation but as architects of community transformation.

Armed with the tools of the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), these leaders are uplifting the lives of women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) through targeted economic empowerment, bursaries, and inclusive development programs.

Zamzam Mohamed – Mombasa County

Zamzam Mohamed is spearheading economic empowerment in Mombasa with unmatched dedication. She launched the Second Chance Education Programme for over 350 young mothers and established Kenya’s largest Gender-Based Violence Centre, offering shelter and dignity to survivors.

Pamela Njeru – Embu County

Liz Chelule – Nakuru County

In Nakuru, Hon. Liz Chelule has led effective scholarship initiatives and health outreach, with a focus on menstrual hygiene and reproductive education.

Elizabeth Kailemia – Meru County

Elizabeth Kailemia is a formidable voice against gender-based violence, leading campaigns against FGM and child marriage, while offering safe spaces and psychosocial support.

Naomi Waqo – Marsabit County

Leah Sankaire – Kajiado County

Betty Maina – Murang’a County

In Murang’a, Betty Maina is enhancing maternal and reproductive health education, supporting financial literacy programs, and funding women-run table banks.

Her investment in digital hubs and agribusiness projects like poultry and horticulture is giving youth and women new opportunities for growth and income generation.

Amina Dika – Tana River County

Amina Dika focuses on disaster preparedness, nutrition education, and mobile library projects to uplift school children.

She supports youth in fish farming, promotes school hygiene campaigns, and drives entrepreneurship mentorship to help rural communities build back better, especially after floods and natural shocks.

Beatrice Kemei – Kericho County

Beatrice Kemei is a passionate advocate for girl-child education, providing bursaries and mentorship programs.
