Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has suffered a major setback after the High Court upheld his 12-year prison sentence or an alternative fine of KSh 51 million.
Justice Rose Ougo also overturned an acquittal on a KSh588 million money laundering charge.
The judge ordered Waititu, his wife, Susan ,Charles Chege, and Lucas Mwangi Wahinya to appear before the magistrate’s court on Monday, October 19 for mitigation and sentencing.
