Cristiano Ronaldo bags 65th career hattrick

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo continues to elongate that Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) debate despite not having the World Cup in his trophy cabinet.

The 39-year-old now has more hattrick goals compared to his longtime rival, World Cup winner Lionel Messi who has 57 compared to Ronaldo’s 65.

Ronaldo netted a first half hattrick which included two free kicks as his club Al Nassr thrashed Abha 8-0 in the Saudi Pro League becoming the top scorer in the league also achieving the 65th treble of his career.

After the classical performance, Ronaldo took to social media indicating that he is not slowing down.

The goals mean that Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 29 times in the Saudi league this season and leagues the goal-scoring charts ahead of Al-Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic.

In total, the former Manchester United forward has scored now 42 goals in 41 games in all competitions for the Saudi side this campaign.

It also follows the treble he scored on Saturday in a 5-1 win over Al Tai.

Ronaldo and Co will be next seen in action on Friday as they take on Damac in another away league encounter.

Despite their star man’s performances this season, Al-Nassr’s chances of lifting the title this season are extremely slim as they currently trail leaders Al-Hilal by 12 points.
