Cristiano Ronaldo vows to keep playing ‘a few more years ’ as he wins prestige Globe Award

Portugal and Al- Nassr’s foward Cristiano Ronaldo has reaffirmed his commitment to football, making it clear he has no plans to retire soon.

Speaking after receiving the Prestige Globe Award at the Portugal Football Globes, the Portuguese captain said he still has more to offer both for his club and the national team.

“My plan is clear, I want to continue playing football for a few more years,” Ronaldo said. “I know someone must be tired of still seeing me here at these ceremonies, but I believe I still bring a lot to Portugal and to football.”

The 40-year-old star expressed gratitude to his teammates and the younger generation in Portugal’s squad, emphasizing his desire to help the team qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“I’m still producing good things, helping my club and Portugal. So, why not continue? When I retire, I’ll leave fulfilled because I gave everything,” he added.

Ronaldo, who was honored with the ‘From Portugal to the World’ Prestige Globe Award, said he now focuses on living in the moment and enjoying the game while it lasts.

“I have a philosophy of living day by day. No long-term plans, just short-term ones because it’s more exciting that way. I know I don’t have many years left, but I want to make the most of the little time I have, enjoying every moment,” he said.

The Portugal legend’s comments come as he continues to inspire both fans and fellow players with his longevity, discipline, and unwavering passion for the game.
