Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has made some changes in his Ministry.
The changes, CS Murkomen says, are geared towards enhancing service delivery within the National Government Administration cadres.
“To enhance efficiency and improve service delivery within the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, we have made the following changes,” CS Murkomen said on Saturday, July 26. “Congratulations and godspeed as you embark on your new roles.”
In a memo dated July 25, 2025, Murkomen has named Jacob Namulen Narengo as the new Principal Administrative Secretary (Internal Security). Beverly Opwora will now serve as the Principal Administrative Secretary (National Administration).
Thomas Saka is now taking over as the Secretary for Internal Security, with Moses Kipkoech Lilan appointed as Secretary for National Administration. Dickson Liyayi Magotsi will now be the secretary in charge of Policy and Liason.
The reshuffle also touches on regional leadership, with Murkomen deploying Gilbert Kitiyo as the Regional Commissioner for Nairobi, while Joshua Nkanatha will be the Central Regional Commissioner.
