What was meant to be a joyous child’s birthday celebration in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County turned chaotic after an unexpected altercation erupted between two women, leaving guests in shock and confusion.
The commotion, which has since gone viral online, unfolded when a woman who had been invited to celebrate her friend’s child’s birthday allegedly bit the host during a heated exchange.
“Look at how you bit me. I invited you to my child’s birthday party, bought you alcohol, and this is how you repay me. You’ve embarrassed me,” the host claimed.
The incident, captured on video and widely shared on Facebook, shows the intoxicated guest aggressively confronting the host before things took a violent turn.
In the video, several guests can be seen stepping in to de-escalate the situation.
Some are heard pleading with the drunken woman, urging her to calm down, while others attempt to place her on a motorcycle to escort her home and restore order to the disrupted party.
Despite the efforts to contain the chaos, the celebration came to an abrupt halt as attendees were visibly distressed by the fracas.
The motive behind the aggressive outburst remains unclear, but sources at the party suggest alcohol may have played a major role in the guest’s erratic behavior.
The intoxicated woman got into an argument with another colleague, promising to fight her the next time they meet at the salon where they both work.
It took a few minutes to convince the woman to leave the premises.
Eventually, she was whisked away on a boda boda as the host, nursing a minor injury, attempted to salvage what was left of the celebration.
The incident has sparked debate on social media, with some relating to the incident while others condemned the presence of alcohol at a child’s party.
“Why buy alcohol at a child’s birthday party?” One said.
“I once bought alcohol for my boys and after they got drunk, they beat me up.” Another one related.
“She should go for post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) as soon as possible.” One advised.
