Early Easter for 100 patients at Kisii hospital as Governor Arati pays all their bills

It is early Easter for over 100 patients at the Kisii County Referral Hospital after Governor Simba Arati waived their medical bills.

The county boss made a visit to the hospital on Thursday, April 2, to assess service delivery to patients accessing healthcare.

“I wish to commend our doctors, nurses, and all staff who continue to put their best foot forward to ensure every patient receives the care and attention they deserve,” Governor Arati said.

Apart from waiving bills 100%, Governor Arati shared gifts with patients admitted at the facility, spreading hope and encouragement during this special season.

“I am also pleased to note and appreciate the remarkable facelift the hospital has undergone, reflecting our commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in our county,” Arati added.

The patients will now focus on recovery and spending time with their families.

During the visit, Arati was impressed by the newly-installed fully automated laundry machines at KTRH. These machines have the capacity to handle linen and other fabrics from all sub-county hospitals within Kisii.

These modern machines have the capability to wash, dry, iron, and fold automatically, enhancing efficiency and maintaining high standards of hygiene.

Arati also emphasised that his administration will strive to restore dignity to Kisii County residents seeking medical services.
