Eric Omondi completes 366km charity walk to Busia for Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative

Kenyan comedian and activist Eric Omondi has successfully completed a demanding charity walk from Nairobi to Busia, concluding a journey that tested both his physical strength and determination while raising funds for vulnerable Kenyans.

Omondi arrived in the border town on Saturday, March 7, 2026, after trekking approximately 366 kilometres on foot as part of his Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative, a community-driven campaign aimed at supporting disadvantaged families.

Taking to his Instagram after reaching his destination, the comedian celebrated the milestone while reaffirming his commitment to the project.

“We have run the race, we have kept the faith, and now we must keep the promise. We will build Sisi Kwa Sisi Hospital to provide free healthcare to vulnerable Kenyans.

We will build Sisi Kwa Sisi Secondary School to provide free education to vulnerable Kenyans. Mungu mbele. Busia, done!!! 366 kilometers covered,” he wrote.

The charity trek began earlier in the week in Nairobi and saw Omondi pass through several towns and counties on his way to western Kenya.

The long-distance journey proved physically demanding, involving extended hours on the road, fatigue and changing weather conditions.

Despite the challenges, the entertainer pressed on, alternating between walking and jogging as he encouraged supporters to remain committed to the cause.

Along the route, many Kenyans turned up to show support. Some walked alongside him for portions of the journey, while others contributed by offering donations, food, and drinking water.

The initiative gradually drew crowds, with groups of supporters accompanying him along the highway while documenting the moment on their phones.

This is not the first time Eric Omondi has undertaken a long-distance walk to raise funds for charity. In a previous campaign linked to the same initiative, he trekked nearly 500 kilometers from Nairobi to Mombasa, an effort that helped raise awareness and resources for the Sisi Kwa Sisi rescue center project.

Through the initiative, Omondi hopes to establish facilities that will provide free healthcare and education to vulnerable communities across Kenya, a mission he says is driven by faith and the support of ordinary Kenyans
