Farouk Kibet attends Mama Mboga Empowerment Initiative in Kimilili

Farouk Kibet, the personal aide of President William Ruto, on Saturday, June 7 joined other Kenya Kwanza leaders in a women empowerment initiative in Kimilili, Bungoma County.

The Mama Mboga Empowerment Initiative, led by area MP Didmus Barasa, brought together various women groups, all united by a shared vision of progress and self-reliance.

“Together, we mobilized resources to support these groups, recognizing that true development starts with empowering those at the heart of our communities,” Farouk said. “This initiative reaffirms our collective commitment to promoting inclusive growth by equipping women with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.”

Farouk believes that empowering women is one of the most powerful ways to transform society.

“When women are supported, they invest in their families, educate their children, build businesses, and contribute meaningfully to community development. Their strength, resilience, and leadership create lasting change across generations.”

The event was also attended by Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa, Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, and MPs Silvanus Osoro (Mugirango South), Mary Emase (Teso North) among others distinguished.
