FKF Cup enters round of 32 this weekend as league takes break

The 2026 edition of the FKF Cup is set to be played this weekend from Friday, March 6 to Sunday, March 8, 2026, across various venues countrywide, with matches pitting teams from different tiers of Kenyan football as they battle for a place in the next round of the competition.

The winner of the tournament will represent the country in the 2026/2027 CAF Confederation Cup.

Attention will be on the FKF Premier League sides as the top-flight teams aim to avoid upsets against lower-division opponents.

The action kicks off on Friday with an all premier league clash between Bidco United FC and Tusker FC at Police Sacco Grounds from 3pm.

Tusker progressed to this stage after edging Mwea United 3–2 at Wang’uru Stadium in the round of 64.

Saturday’s top fixtures will see Bandari FC host Bumbani Stars FC at Kwale Stadium from 3pm, while KCB FC travel to Embu to face Zetech Titans.

Shabana FC will take on Muhoroni Youth FC in what is expected to be a lively encounter at Gusii Stadium.

Muhoroni Youth booked their place in the round of 32 after beating MOFA FC 1–0 in the previous round, while Shabana eliminated Commons FC with a 2–0 victory.

Elsewhere, Ulinzi Stars FC will face Zoo FC at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, while Kenya Police FC meet TBM Health FC at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu in a match scheduled for 2pm.

On Sunday, attention will shift to Nyayo Stadium where Gor Mahia FC face BB Bread FC.

BB Bread reached this stage after eliminating AFC Leopards 4–3 on penalties following a 1–1 draw in regulation time.

In other fixtures, Kariobangi Sharks FC will play K.U. Hardnuts at Kasarani Stadium, Posta Rangers FC face Oinopsos FC, while Kakamega Homeboyz FC host Kipchimchim FC at Bukhungu Stadium.

Murang’a SEAL FC, who thrashed Kahawa Pride FC 9–0 in the round of 64, will host FC Dynamo at the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a from 3pm, while defending champions Nairobi United FC take on BMC Allstars FC at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
