Four arrest over possession of Ivory worth 22 Million

The National Police Service (NPS) are investigating four suspects who were arrested over possession of ivory worth 2 million yesterday, march 12, 2024

The ivory was recovered in Makindu, Makueni County and weighed 6.8 kilograms.

“The suspects were found in possession of six pieces of ivory weighing 6.8 Kilograms,” police said.

The four were identified as 34-year-old Stephen Kitavi, 39-year-old Peter Kioko, Shadrack Kyalo Muange, 47 and Danstan Muyoka, 54.

The were detained at Makindu Police Station and are waiting to be arraigned on Wednesday, March 13,2024.

NPS have expressed their gratitude to the public for their cooperation in the case.
