Police in Kiambu County have arrested a suspected drug peddler in possession of 1,473 rolls of cannabis sativa (bhang) in Githurai 45 area.
The 28-year-old suspect was arrested by officers from Kiambu County Headquarters, who were conducting a coordinated operation against illicit drugs in Githurai 45 area.
A search into his rented house led to the discovery of the rolls of cannabis sativa and 2.1 kilograms of unprocessed cannabis.
The officers also recovered KSh5,470 which they suspect to be proceeds from the sale of illicit substances.
The suspect was processed and placed in custody, pending arraignment in court.
The National Police Service commends the officers involved and reiterates its steadfast dedication to the sustained crackdown on narcotics.
