Gloria Kyallo, the youngest sister to renowned journalist Betty Kyallo, marked a special occasion on Sunday July 27, 2025 —her dog’s third birthday.
The celebration took place at the scenic Ngong Hills, where Gloria hosted an intimate picnic to commemorate the milestone.
Present at the laid-back gathering was her sister, Mercy Kyallo, showing support for the event that highlighted Gloria’s love for her furry companions.
On her Instagram story, Gloria shared heartfelt words dedicated to her dog, writing, “Happiest birthday to my sweetest little boy. You’re so brave, so smart, so pretty. You and your siblings are my greatest loves.”
The touching tribute revealed just how deep her bond with her pets runs.
Gloria, who shares co-parenting duties of the dogs with her ex-boyfriend, Ken Warui, was joined by him at the celebration.
The two have remained close despite their romantic split and have found a rhythm in raising their dogs together.
Gloria owns three dogs; Lulu, Luka, and Linky, and according to her, they all receive equal affection and care from both ‘parents.’
Speaking in a video posted on her Instagram story , Gloria explained, “Co-parenting dogs is not as different as co-parenting kids.
It’s just normal, because sometimes I’m with Ken’s dogs and sometimes he’s with mine.
They get a full experience because they are with both parents.”
Ken, who also appeared in the clip, echoed her sentiments, saying, “The only difference is that one is a human being and the other one is a dog, but the roles are just the same.”
The two appeared relaxed and cheerful during the outing, proving that their shared commitment to their pets continues to bind them even after their breakup.
The picnic, with its light snacks, birthday props, and panoramic views of the hills, may have been modest, but it reflected the growing culture of pet celebrations among young Kenyans who consider their animals part of the family.
Gloria, who previously featured in her family’s reality show Kyallo Kulture, has always been open about her passion for animals, often posting about her dogs on social media.
