Harambee Stars striker Ryan Ogam joins Belgian side RFC Liège on loan

Harambee Stars forward Ryan Ogam has completed a season-long loan move to Belgian second-tier club RFC Liège from Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC, with the agreement including an option to make the transfer permanent.

The 21-year-old Kenyan striker successfully underwent a medical on Saturday, July 11, 2026 before signing his contract and officially completing the move.

Confirming the transfer, RFC Liège said Ogam joins the club on loan with an option to buy.

“Ryan Ogam is our new striker. The 21-year-old Kenya international joins the Sang & Marine on a loan deal with an option to purchase from Austria’s Wolfsberger AC,” the club announced.

The Belgian outfit said Ogam becomes their second signing of the summer transfer window and expressed confidence in the youngster’s ability to strengthen the squad.

“Ryan Ogam developed his football in Kenya before making a name for himself at Tusker FC, earning a move to the Austrian league. A left-footed forward capable of playing both through the middle and on the wings, he has already earned several appearances and scored eight goals for the Kenya national team. We welcome Ryan to the club and wish him every success in our colours,” the club added.

Ogam secured his move to Europe after impressing during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), joining Wolfsberger AC in September 2025. However, he struggled for first-team opportunities, making only one senior appearance as a substitute in a 3-1 league victory over Grazer AK.

He was later loaned to Wolfsberger AC II in November 2025, where he rediscovered form by scoring four goals in nine appearances.

The move to RFC Liège offers the Harambee Stars forward a fresh opportunity for regular first-team football as he continues his development in European football.
