Media personality and comedian Oga Obinna has sparked online conversation after candidly revealing the highest amount of money he has ever spent on a woman.
Speaking during a recent interview, Obinna disclosed that he once paid KSh 1.8 million to clear a car loan for his then partner, an obligation he says he only discovered later.
” I gave my ex, Ksh. 1.8 million, she had this car loan that she din’t tell me about.” He said.
According to Obinna, the loan was already public knowledge when he learned about it. He explained that he accompanied his ex to the bank, withdrew KSh 2 million, deposited the funds into another account, and personally signed the transaction slip.
The move, he said, quickly turned into a major online scandal, forcing him to publicly share receipts to confirm the payment.
Despite the controversy, Obinna maintained that his decision was driven by respect rather than love, noting that at the time he believed they were building a future together.
Reflecting on the experience, the comedian admitted it was one of the biggest financial gestures he has ever made in a relationship.
He added that generosity is part of who he is, revealing that he has bought cars for people close to him in the past, including purchasing two vehicles for one of his baby mamas and three cars in total over the years. “I’m a lover,” he said, emphasizing that when he commits emotionally, he does so wholeheartedly.
Obinna also spoke openly about the qualities he looks for in a partner. He described wanting someone he finds attractive, with a good sense of humour and a presence that draws him in.
While he stressed that skin colour is not an issue, he acknowledged the importance of physical attraction, saying he values natural curves and chemistry.
“Colour doesn’t matter, body matters, I’m a man, I’m physical, it doesn’t have to be very huge, but I need someone with some curves, something I can touch, something nice I can look at because I also want to look at you and be attracted.” Obinna revealed
Beyond appearance, he added that he is seeking a nurturing, motherly figure.
