The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a traffic advisory warning motorists about flooding and silt deposits along the Mai Mahiu–Suswa–Narok (B7) Road near Kedong Ranch.
In a notice shared on its official X account on Saturday, March 7, 2026, the highways authority said the road section experienced flooding earlier in the day following heavy rainfall in the area.
“Earlier today the Mai Mahiu–Suswa–Narok (B7) Road experienced flooding and deposition of silt at Kedong Ranch near Suswa,” the authority stated.
According to Kenya National Highways Authority, teams have already been deployed and are working to clear the affected section in order to restore normal traffic flow.
The authority urged motorists using the route to remain cautious and comply with directions from traffic officers and marshals to avoid accidents or getting stuck in the muddy deposits.
Drivers were also advised to avoid driving through flooded sections of the road as the region continues to experience heavy rains.
Motorists who have not yet begun their journeys have been encouraged to consider using the Ngong–Suswa Road as an alternative route.
KeNHA assured road users that it is working around the clock to reopen the affected section and ensure the safety of motorists travelling along the corridor.
