Kenya showcases innovative public service solutions at APSD 2025 in Addis Ababa

Kenya has officially joined other African nations in marking the 2025 edition of ‘Africa Public Service Day (APSD)’, taking place at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

This year’s event is themed: “Enhancing the Agility and Resilience of Public Institutions to Achieve Equitable Governance and Rapidly Address Historical Service Delivery Gaps.”

The celebrations were officially opened by Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Temesgen Tiruneh. Kenya is showcasing a robust portfolio of innovations designed to improve efficiency, transparency, and service delivery across the public sector.

The institutions showcasing innovations include:

  1. State Department for Internal Security & National Administration – Automated Reporting Management Information System
  2. Kenya Forestry Research Institute –JazaMiti Initiative.
  3. Baringo National Polytechnic – Water Recycling Technology
  4. Huduma Kenya – The Universal Agent
  5. Tharaka University – Poultry MeloVax
  6. Kenya Ports Authority – KARGOPAY

These innovations are a testament to Kenya’s commitment to transformative governance, citizen-centric services, and sustainable development.

Through cross-sectoral collaboration and technological advancement, Kenya continues to lead efforts in reimagining public service delivery across the continent.

The Kenyan delegation is led by the Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya.
