A strong 29 squad of 29 players will be representing Kenya in this year’s International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Handgun World Shoot Championship in South Africa.
The Championship is set to take place between 11th September to 28th September in Matlosana, South Africa’s shooting range and will be the highest-level V competition on the IPSC match calendar.
The Kenyan team will use the tournament to showcase Kenya’s growing talent in the shooting sport. The IPSC Handgun World Shoot is the highest level handgun match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) which consists of several days and at least 30 separate courses of fire.
The first IPSC World Shoot was held in 1975 in Zurich, and the two following were held with one year intervals.
After 1977 the World Shoots were held at two year intervals until 1983 when the schedule was changed to the three year intervals used today.
