City laywer and former Raila Odinga’s aide Silas Jakakimba has announced separation from his wife, Florence Adhiambo.

In a statement released on Thursday, July 17, Jakakimba said that they had decided to make the decision after careful consideration and much reflection.

“This decision was reached mutually and, with respect for one another, noting with deep appreciation and gratitude, the immense love and support from both sides of our Innermost Families and Spiritual Leaders as we sought to make this decision public,” the statement read in part.

Jakakimba, however, stated that they remain fully committed to maintaining the privacy and well-being of their family during this separation period.

“We ask that our privacy be respected as we navigate this personal matter. We will not be making any further public statements whatsoever regarding this matter at this or, at any other time – and we do appreciate your understanding. We thank you.”

Jakakimba and Florence got married in 2021 in a lavish wedding held at Safari Park Hotel. The lawyer arrived at the venue in style, aboard a chopper.
