Jubilee Deputy Leader Fred Matiang’i has met with the Linda Mwananchi team led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna at his Karen office, in what he described as a productive consultative session aimed at strengthening coordination within the United Alternative Government ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Matiang’i said the discussions centred on aligning the opposition’s strategic efforts as the coalition works to present Kenyans with what he called a credible, principled, and people-centred alternative to the current administration.
“Our discussions focused on strengthening strategic coordination across the United Alternative Government and aligning our efforts as we continue to offer Kenyans a credible, principled, and people-centered alternative ahead of the 2027 General Election,” he said in a statement shared on his social media.
The meeting took place ahead of the Linda Mwananchi team’s tour of Western Kenya.
Matiang’i said the coalition will continue holding regular meetings as it prepares for the 2027 General Election.
He said the goal is to restore accountable leadership, protect the Constitution, and get the country back on the right track.
