MC Gogo opens up on mental struggles, says social media break saved him

Franklin Mark Gogo, popularly known as MC Gogo, has broken his silence on his personal struggles, revealing how taking a step back from social media helped him heal.

The popular hype man admitted that he went through a difficult season that almost pushed him into depression.

“I think there was a time I was depressed. But one thing I came to notice is that people who come online to insult or comment negatively are often fighting their own battles,” MC Gogo said in an interview with SPM Buzz.

He added that constantly paying attention to negative comments only made things worse.

“If you start putting them in your mind, they will really wear you down. At some point, I felt it, but I decided to take a social media break and come back to my true self.”

The entertainer explained that the turning point came when close friends noticed he wasn’t okay. “One of my boys looked at me and told me, ‘bro, you are not okay.’ Then another friend also said the same thing. That’s when I told myself, you are not okay. I realized the only trigger was social media, so I left.”

Gogo described the move as the best decision he has ever made. “The best option I ever had. The best thing I’ve ever done. I think God even gave me some wisdom like psychology for this situation. I realized I just needed to avoid the triggers.”

His revelations come just months after false rumors about him went viral online. By openly sharing his journey, MC Gogo is reminding fans of the importance of mental health and knowing when to unplug.
