MKU signs MoU with Global Peace Foundation

Mount Kenya University (MKU) on Wednesday, August 20 afternoon signed an MoU with Global Peace Foundation Kenya (GPF Kenya) to enhance youth leadership programs, and community outreach and peacebuilding initiatives that equip students with practical skills and values to serve society.

The Thika-based institution and GPF Kenya share a commitment to empowering young people to become responsible, and ethical leaders in society, as they both value education as a tool to transform communities and foster long-term peace and development.

Ideally, GPF Kenya’s mission to build moral and innovative leaders aligns with MKU’s goal of producing graduates who are not only academically competent, but also socially responsible and globally minded.

“We have a scheduled area of engagement for the next 3 days (Thursday 21st to Sat 23rd August 2025) which will be the commencement of our partnership that is going to be housed in the School of Education where we train teachers or educators,” MKU says in a statement.
