“To the Giants of Africa something good is coming, Sakaja added hinting at upcoming initiatives that could unite cities across the continent through talent and innovation.
This comes as the Governor intensifies efforts to improve existing stadiums in Nairobi, including Joe Kadenge Stadium, and oversees the construction of new ones in areas such as Woodley, Kihumbuini, and Mwiki. The initiative aims to empower youth through sports.
Dandora Stadium, which hosts multiple matches every weekend, has become a vibrant business hub supporting youth from the transport sector, hawkers, and small traders who benefit from the crowds drawn by football events. The stadium is also helping to revive the city’s sporting culture.
