Seth Panyako is the ‘United Opposition’s’ best shot at capturing the Malava parliamentary seat, a win that will catapult the faction in the right momentum ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Panyako possesses the right qualities and ideas that are in tandem with the opposition outfit, saying that DAP-Kenya Party could never had settled on a better candidate.
Tukimpiga jeki, in the next two years naona akiwa nguzo muhimu katika mrengo wetu wa upinzani,” Governor Natembeya said during an interview on TV47’s Ukumbi wa Siasa show.
DAP-Kenya settled on Panyako after a consensus with other aspirants. He will now have to face off with United Democratic Alliance’s David Ndakwa and Democracy For The Citizens Party’s Edgar Busiega in the upcoming by-election.
Natembeya’s warning
However, Governor Natembeya warned Rigathi Gachagua’s DCP Party against fielding a candidate in the Malava by-election, suggesting that all opposition parties should support Panyako.
He is of the opinion that Panyako’s bravery and intelligence, showcased during his tenure as the Secretary-General of the Kenya National Union of Nurses, are the right traits for a servant who will fight for the rights of Malava constituents.
