Comedian and media personality Oga Obinna has revealed that he wants to expand his family.
Speaking during his Obinna Live Show, where the Swahili media duo Lofty Matambo and Fridah Mwaka appeared as guests, Obinna openly discussed his plans for more children and this time, he says he wants to be “intentional.”
Oga Obinna currently has 15 children, five biological and ten adopted.
“I will never say never,” he stated, adding that in the past, he never really planned for his children. “It just happens,” he admitted.
However, he now says he wants to start checking the calendar more carefully because he specifically wants more boys.
According to Obinna, his ideal number has always been ten children. At the moment, he has only one biological son and says he would like to have two more boys and three girls to make his biological children ten in total.
Obinna explained that he prefer getting the five kids with different women.
In his usual humorous tone, he posed the question, “Kwa nini nimchokeshe?” suggesting that spreading fatherhood across different partners is part of his vision.
He even joked about exploring diversity, mentioning communities such as Kisii, Kalenjin and Mijikenda, while Fridah playfully encouraged him to “go international.”
Over the years, Obinna has been open about his journey as a father. Beyond his biological children, he has adopted ten others, a move he has often described as deeply personal and fulfilling.
His parenting journey has frequently featured in his public conversations, with the entertainer balancing humor and seriousness when discussing fatherhood.
Whether planned carefully this time or not, one thing remains clear: Obinna’s vision of fatherhood is far from complete.
