Kenyan singer Stevo Simple Boy has firmly shut down any possibility of reuniting with his ex-girlfriend, Pritty Vishy, following a recent interview that quickly set social media abuzz.
When asked whether he would consider marrying Vishy if she approached him claiming she had changed, Stevo did not mince his words.
“Never, never, over my dead body,” he said, making his position clear.
His remarks came just days after the singer shared a controversial birthday wishlist, which included his desire to get a second wife, jokingly specifying he wanted one with “nyash,” a slang term for a big buttocks.
Stevo also questioned Vishy’s celebrity status, suggesting she only became known because of her association with him.
“Celebrity mgani? Hakuna ucelebrity hapo, ni nini huwa anafanya yenye tunaeza sema yeye ni celebrity?” he asked, translating to, “What celebrity? There is no celebrity there.
What does she do that we can say makes her a celebrity?” Pritty Vishy did not stay silent.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, she fired back with a series of posts.
In one, she wrote, “Watu wengine ni aibu kuwaita ex wako,” loosely implying that some people keep talking about their exes like a repeated playlist.
She followed up by dismissing claims that she gained followers through their past relationship.
“I used our relationship to bag followers azin how? Si basi pia Grace angefanya the same ama? Yooh, I worked to be the person I am now,” she wrote.
The online exchange continued when a fan jokingly commented on one of her photos, urging her to “get a husband this year you settle.”
Vishy replied sarcastically, “Wacha niongee na dragon yenyu inioe basi,” referring to Stevo’s self-given nickname, “the dragon.”
