Police in Kisauni Sub-County, Mombasa County, have arrested a man after he was found with a loaded pistol and other weapons in Utange Village.
The 25-year-old suspect was arrested by officers from Kiembeni Police Station who were responding to a distress call after he threated a 21-year-old lady under unclear circumstances.
It was after his arrest that police conducted a search on him, recovering a pistol magazine loaded with 16 rounds of 9mm ammunition, a dummy pistol, a Somali sword, three mobile phones and a whip.
The suspect is in custody and will be arraigned before court on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The National Police Service (NPS) has commended the police officers for their quick response, assuring the public of its continued commitment to their safety and security.
