Police in Kanyonyoo, Kitui County, have arrested two suspects and recovered 30 rounds of live ammunition after intercepting a passenger bus along the Garissa-Thika Highway.
The incident occured on Monday, January 2 evening when a multi-agency security team manning a roadblock in Kanyonyoo area intercepted the PSV.
Upon conducting a search, the officers recovered a backpack left on a passenger seat containing 30 rounds of live ammunition.




Two suspects were arrested and escorted to Kanyonyoo Police Station, pending processing and arraignment in court. The vehicle was detained, and the recovered ammunition was secured as an exhibit.
